Village, Day 5: In which we complete our world map and make scrolls....

So much activity in Village today!

The map, which we've been working on since day one of this Village, is at last complete; fully painted, labeled and ready for use. In the weeks to come, as the Peeps from the furthest corners of the Roman Republic ready themselves for the long and arduous journey to Rome this map will be a very useful tool - helping them to plot a safe course across Wildernesses, Deserts, Seas and Rivers.

Villagers and their newest Peeps gathered 'round the map, discussing points of interest....

We also did some more research into the origin of various inventions, adding this new information to our Timeline of Inventions. One of the interesting facts discovered was that bound books were not invented until about 150 years AFTER the setting of our Village!

Having discovered that books were a thing of the future, Villagers set about making scrolls, in which to gather their rapidly accumulating paperwork. The Peeps, now born and with their own unique identities, headed off to the Village Records Department to get their Peep Birth Certificates - and from there to the Villagers personal scrolls to join the many other official Village documents that they've collected so far...
